Foam Rolling

Foam Rolling

Clients often ask me about the benefits of self myofascial release using a foam roller. However, despite their surge in popularity, many people are still unsure how to use a foam roller correctly. For this reason, I figured a blog post that demonstrates the techniques correctly would be a great addition to this blog.

Below are three great videos produced by 66 Fit, and to be honest, you won't go far wrong following their advice. Also, if you'd like to purchase a foam roller, 66 Fit have a great selection to choose from. Personally, I like the 15cm x 45cm foam rollers because you can do everything with them and they fit nicely into a gym bag. However, before you purchase one, it's definitely worth noting the different densities that are available. If you're just staring out, I recommend you start with a blue one which is medium density. However, after a few months, when you've become familiar with foam rolling, you can progress to the much more firm black roller.
